Job Title: Gender and Advocacy Coordinator -- SOS713.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and budgeting process of gender mainstreaming in SOS’ Programmes.
• Coordinate the implementation of the annual gender action plan within the approved budget.
• Lead the monitoring and evaluation of the gender action plan activities.
• Be accountable for the gender and advocacy financial resources.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the National Programme Development Advisor.
• Lead and build a motivated performance driven Gender and Advocacy team.
• Facilitate and coordinate gender and advocacy research, documentation and dissemination to inform and influence policy and decision makers.
• Coordinate, mobilize and facilitate gender and advocacy education and awareness for staff, community members, and other partners.
• Establish and maintain networks and coalitions with likeminded agencies and organisations such as NGOs, Government, UN and religious institutions.
Qualification:
• A University Degree in Gender and Development, Community Development or Social Sciences from a recognised institution.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a gender development field.
• Programme budget planning and accountability experience.
• Experience in gender and advocacy education and awareness raising, policy influencing and community mobilisation.
• Experience in programme/project monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience in using community development participatory methodologies.
• People management experience specifically recruitment, training and performance management.
Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
