Job Title: Laboratory Technologist / Technician – 3 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages and accounts for all allocated resources.
• Participates in proper collection, handling and transportation of blood to the laboratory.
• Carries out laboratory analysis, interprets results and submits timely and quality reports.
• Requisitions for equipment and other laboratory supplies using the standard procurement procedures.
• Ensures that equipment is functional and well maintained, including but not limited to cleaning.
• Ensures adherence to safety measures against hazards.
• Participates in quality assurance measures for laboratories.
• Participates in research activities.
• Adheres to Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• The candidate must have a National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques or its equivalent from a recognized Institution;
• The candidate must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council;
• Excellent communication skills as well as a team player.
• Knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
