Job Title: Regional Senior Technical Officers– MDR – 2 Vacancies

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The job holder will act as the liaison between the Treatment centre and TRACK TB.
• Identify capacity gaps at the treatment centers and suggest solutions.
• The Regional Senior Technical Officers will primarily improve the coordination of the management of DR TB patients in DR TB Treatment Initiation sites.
• Assist the treatment sites to prepare work plans, submit them to TRACK TB and monitor their implementation.
• Ensure that laboratory specimens are referred to appropriate laboratories for processing.
• Ensure availability of enablers for patients and they are properly accounted for.
• Ensure that all necessary tools for are available and that registers are filled up-todate.
• Ensure that appropriate reports are made and submitted to the Hospital ED, DHO’s office, ZTLS and NTLP.
• Ensure that support supervision / mentorship is carried out to follow up facilities and to community levels.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant should hold a Degree in medicine nursing or equivalent,
• Training in public health,
• A minimum of three years experience including two years of clinical work after internship,
• Training in MDR TB management and or TB Infection control will be an added advantage,
• Training skills, with experience in support supervision and mentorship,
• Good interpersonal skills, self motivated and ability to work unsupervised
